Welcome to Muricciaglia, a historic Tuscan estate with centuries of history going back to the Etruscan period, set within 60 hectares of Mediterranean oak woodland, olive groves and vineyards in the heart of Chianti Classico, between Radda in Chianti and Castellina in Chianti.
Over the centuries, Muricciaglia has preserved the character of its rural origins: traditional stone buildings, quiet courtyards and a landscape shaped by generations of Tuscan life. Today, its history can still be felt throughout the estate, in the architecture, in the land and in the sense of authenticity that makes this place so distinctive.
Muricciaglia offers the rare opportunity to experience the Tuscan countryside with complete privacy and a true sense of space. Peace, tranquility and nature define the stay, together with comfortable, authentic interiors, panoramic views and the freedom to enjoy each day entirely at your own pace.
Muricciaglia is owned by Rodenza Società Agricola S.r.l., the Italian company of Canadians Sylvie Rodrigue and Paul Carenza. Proud to call it their home and private estate, the owners have restored and cared for Muricciaglia with great attention and affection, preserving its authentic character while giving it the warmth and individuality it has today.

THE VILLA AND GUEST HOUSES
EXCLUSIVE USE OF ONE PRIVATE ESTATE
Muricciaglia is rented exclusively as one private estate for up to 14 guests. The accommodations are comprised of one main villa and two independent guests houses, allowing families and groups of friends to stay together while enjoying their own space, comfort and privacy. The villa an each guest house offer air conditioning, mosquito screens, private laundry facilities and dedicated parking. DURING THEIR STAY, OUR GUESTS ENJOY THE EXCLUSIVE USE OF THE ENTIRE PROPERTY. THE VILLA AND GUEST HOUSES CANNOT BE RENTED SEPARATELY.

Who we are
Rodenza is a company founded by Canadians Sylvie Rodrigue and Paul Carenza.
Sylvie and Paul fell in love with Radda in Chianti in 2015. What started as a vacation once a year quickly developed into multiple visits each year, and the establishment of a second home away from home. After getting married in Radda, Sylvie and Paul discovered Muricciaglia in 2022, and completely fell in love with this historic, unique and majestic property.
They spent a few years restoring the property with love, care and a lot of patience to ensure the historic heritage of Muricciaglia was preserved. The inauguration reception of Muricciaglia as a native Agriturismo was held in July 2026 and brought together over 200 members from the surrounding communities, friends and family.

Our Team
Together, Sylvie, Paul, Adriana and Simone care for Muricciaglia with dedication and a shared love for this special place. From looking after the estate to welcoming our guests, each brings a personal touch to life here. Our aim is simple: to make you feel at home, allowing you to relax, explore and enjoy the beauty of the Tuscan countryside at your own place.
Owners
Sylvie and Paul are Canadian lawyers, parents of 4 beautiful children, and farmers at heart. They both grew up in Montreal, but now have a home in the countryside west of Toronto. At home in Canada, they have horses and Golden Retrievers. They are passionate about nature, animals and now growing their own olives and Sangiovese grapes, a dream come true for them. In October 2026, they welcomed Mia at Muricciaglia, their first Golden Retriever in Italy. They spent a significant amount of time at Muricciaglia where they intend to one day live permanently. Sylvie is also known for her advocacy for women’s rights and a devoted mentor and tutor to women around the world. She is a published author and speaker. Her book "Own it, Lessons Every Women Should Know" published in 2025 in English will be available in French by the end of 2026 under the title "Ose, Fonce et Assume-Toi!"
Caretakers
Adriana and Simone are Muricciaglia’s fantastic caretakers. They live on the property with their dog Gordon, and of course Mia when Sylvie and Paul are away. They are at the disposal of our guests throughout their stay including to organize various experiences.
Fur Babies
Meet Mia and Gordon, the four leggend members of our Muricciaglia family. Mia is Sylvie and Paul's Golden Retriver, while Gordon is Adriana and Simone's French Bulldog. Both are much loved part of life on the estate, bringing companionship and a little extra joy to our days in the Tuscan countryside.
